Leadership

“I am passionate about providing exceptional care for our residents and leading a team that is
inspired each day by those that we serve.”
Tamika Gidron
RN, BSN
Administrator
Tamika began her healthcare career from humble beginnings in 2000 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) where she knew early on that dedicating her life to serving others was a calling. A natural leader with a distinct spirit of kindness, caring and compassion, she obtained her nursing degree in 2003 while working as a CNA. Tamika joined Rivers Edge in 2008 as Director of Nursing— and from there, she was appointed to the facility administrator role in 2019 just a few months prior to the pandemic. She remained steadfast through unprecedented times, serving as a pillar for the Rivers Edge team, residents and families. She continues her journey today, serving the Prospect community and surrounding areas.

“I know I’ll be in the skilled nursing facility industry until I retire, because of how I feel when I go home at the end of each day. It’s more fulfilling than I realized any job could be.”
Shannon Ryan
RN
Director of Nursing
With 24 years of healthcare experience, Shannon has spent 13 of those years as a nurse in the surgical world. Shannon’s husband is part of the US Coast Guard which had her and their son moving up and down the east coast every few years. After moving home to Kentucky and transferring out of the surgical nursing realm, she transitioned to the role of Quality Insurance Nurse at Rivers Edge. Shortly thereafter she was elevated to the Director of Nursing due to her strong work ethic, passion for providing excellent patient care and natural leadership skills.

“The time I spent with my grandparents in their later years made me want to do whatever I could to make sure every aging person received the same love and compassion my grandparents received.”
Jenna Gooch
Admissions Director
With a life’s commitment and interest in geriatric care and exceptional customer service, Jenna was a natural fit to take on the Admissions Director role for Rivers Edge. She is a member of the Indiana Geriatric Society and came to River’s Edge with experience in onboarding new residents in the skilled nursing facility industry. She serves as an informed first point of contact for new residents and their families; and works to develop relationships with the local hospitals to assist with skilled nursing facility care placement for the geriatric population. She spent 12 years as Veteran’s Administration caregiver and has five children, who keep her busy when she is not here at River’s Edge.
